The Vitruvian Sleipner, part 4

vitruv_04 On the ring around the eight-legged horse I wrote the story of the norse god Oden’s beloved horse Sleipner.

I wrote it with runes, and the English translation would be something like this:

Sleipner can gallop faster than any other horse, even faster than the wind. He can travel on land, in the air and at sea. He is very loved by his owner Oden and carries warriors that have been killed in war to Oden’s castle. At Ragnarök (the apocalypse) he is ridden by Hermod to Hel – the underworld.”
