The weirder the horse I create, the more careful I am with the head and face of the horse. Here you can see the shoe and horse head from the front. I have put a lot of time to sculpt a face that exudes dignity and calmness. As this special horse is black, it is hard to see it from a photo, but the expressions are there.
Next problem: What should I do with the hind legs? The shoe’s heel is of course much wider than the front legs of the horse. So I try to suggest another form of the hind legs than the heel is. I do that by building something that gives a hint of hind limb shape of the heel.
