I am constantly investigating the form of a horse. What makes a horse a horse? How much can you remove or add and it still will be a horse?
Today, I started with a round form made of white polymer clay. At first, my plan was to smoothen it and make something like a spiral, but when I saw the ring I loved the irregular texture and decided to leave it that way.
As you see, I let a head and four legs grow out of the circular form. Will it look like a horse when I am ready with it, or will it look like a very distorted donut?
