A hat for a horse

A ring of white polymer clay for the hat brim.
The crown of the hat is in place, and so are the ears.
Looks like he is resting on the glass while I am softening the back of the horse.
A figurehead horse also has to have ”clothes”. I made them from a thin sheet of white clay. In his hand/hoof is a bunch of carrots.

This figurehead horse also needs a hat, mainly becuasde the model Prudence has a hat.

Instead of the small wings that decorate Prudence’s hat I let the horses ears come out of the hat. Looks quite good, doesn’t it?

The figurehead horse is almost finished, so now it is time to make the last adjustments of the shape and to smoothen things out.

In the last picture you can see how he ha got ”clothes” on.
