To care about others is to share. You usually say that sharing is caring. This applies to many areas of life, and I give monthly to various aid organizations that I think do a good job in helping people. By doing this, I know that I’m always sharing some of my abundance. You can not help everyone, but I hope my contributions will help someone to get a better life. I am a sponsor of a children’s village in Thailand where I follow one of the girls and I support vulnerable women around the world.
But sharing also applies to our polymer clay community. I am so pleased with all collaboration with artists all over the world who have given me so much community, joy, true response and inspiration. We make every effort to share our knowledge and experience in the world of clay with each other because we want to develop together.
Among the biggest experiences are the Synergy conferences. I have participated in them three times, twice in the European conferences (Malta 2014 and Bordeaux 2016) and once in the United States (Philadelphia 2017). The synergy conferences are multi-day conferences where polymer clay artists from all corners of the world meet to listen to inspirational lectures and attend workshops. And of course, to simply hang out, have fun and make friends. Here are also social media such Facebook and Instagram’s amazing tools to maintain contact with the lovely people that you met and learned to know during these conferences. And to jointly share our artistic discoveries with each other.
