Skinner blends for legs and head

In this photo you can see the canes in the background, waiting to be sliced.

The canes are quite soft when they are new, so I let the cool down in the fridge for several hours before I slice them. During the meantime I cover the horse’s head and legs with skinner blends. That is a thin sheet of polymer clay with a color gradient. Click here to find a tutorial that shows you how to create a Skinner Blend. For this horse I chose to make the blend from white to brown.

When I work in my studio, I often watch London Real, a very inspiring video show. This time I listened to Liv Boeree – Million Dollar Girl. And yes, she is a poker player….
