13: Mosebacke

I often get questions about the name Mosebacke Horse Sculptures. The simple answer is that it is the name of our house in the countryside outside Linköping, southern Sweden.

We gave the house the name when we built it in 1990. Mosebacke is about several different things. Among other things, I was born in Söder in Stockholm and in that district you can find Mosebacke, which is a mountain, a square and a park. Also, my husband was called Moses when he was a baby and our house is situated on a hill (backe).
