Lycka är en unik Mosebacke Hästskulptur skapad i polymerlera ovanpå en stomme av betong.
På den lilla hästens rygg vilar en figur tryggt och avslappnat. Själva hästen med sitt uttrycksfulla ansikte är i svart, matt lera med inslag av så kallade Stroppel Canes i skimrande färger i den röda färgskalan.
Lycka är 20 cm hög, finns liksom alla Mosebacke hästskulpturer endast i ett enda exemplar, signerat av konstnären EvaMarie Törnström.

A house for happy horses
I think that a great deal of the inspiration for this – my biggest creation so far – comes from Georg Dinkel, which I met at Synergy4 in Philadelphia in Augusti 2017. He builds large and absolutely stunning buildings in polymer clay, which are populated by the most amazing creatures.
So I began to think.
My Mosebacke Horses also need somewhere to live. Why not in a house? A real horse house?
This is the result. The frame is made of a particle board (thanks Beijer Bygg in Linköping for sawing according to my design), which I then covered with “wood” and “bricks” and “knots” and “winds” of polymer clay.
On each of the three floors there are four Mosebacke Horses. Some look a little bit more angry, but they all are very excited about having a big window that they can look through. The windows frames resemble picture frames, so all the horses look like three-dimensional paintings.
At the top is the happiest horse of them all – because that horse lives in the hay loft where there is a swing. So it’s a rocking horse (Gunghäst in Swedish.)

Never Alone
Never Alone is a very special horse sculpture that is flat, made up by strings of different colors of polymer clay.

Opposition
I want to show the opposition between different groups because not understanding other groups or cultures is a global problem today.
My first source of inspiration for this piece of art was a chess game, but I wanted to keep the dark and the light game pieces/horses closer in their groups, like if they were a little bit unsecure and wanted to keep close to each other for protection and support.
I chose different colors for each game piece on both sides – there are for example both light blue and dark blue ones. By this I want to show that there are similarities between the both groups, even if they seem different at first sight.
These horses are silent – looking at each other (besides one of the dark horses that is blind). And all horses are different no matter they are light or dark.
It is so interesting to ask people what they see in this sculpture because they always see the opposition, but they interpret it as something that is close to them, an opposition problem they understand, depending of which culture they belong to. They see racial, political, historical, ethnical, cultural, sexual or ethical problems.
But. When you look closer you do not only see the opposition, you also see the start of a possible solution. It is explained by some kind of curiosity, some kind of interest from one group to the other group. One of the dark horses even shows that it really wants to listen. That is my hidden message in this sculpture – even if it seems like you cannot agree in a certain question it is not the end. Try to listen, try to understand your opponent and maybe you will find a new and sustainable solution. Together.
Another interesting thing with this sculpture is that it is interactive. You can place a random object between the two groups – and the meaning and message of the sculpture totally changes! Put a little bird between them and you will maybe see some kind of wish to care. Put a hand-grenade between them and you will maybe see signs of fright and terror…
If you count the horses, you will find out that there are one more light horse than dark horses. What can the meaning of that be…?

MoseAik är en unik hästskulptur från Mosebacke Horse Sculptures, skapad i polymerlera. Som alla andra hästskulpturer härifrån finns den endast i ett enda exemplar och är signerad av konstnären EvaMarie Törnström.
MoseAik är en hästskulptur med ett spännande mosaikmönster sin kropp medan huvud och ben har ett metalliskt blågrönt skimmer. Manen och svansen består av pärlor i polymerlera, och eftersom de sitter på en tråd av stål, kan du arrangera dem som du vill. Den bas som MoseAik står på är täckt av canes (mönster) som är skapade i polymerlera. Hästskon är i äkta silver och är naturligtvis även den skapad här på Mosebacke Horse Sculptures.
MoseAik är 27 cm hög till nacken.
