Using a home-made tool to soften all edges.

galjon_15The head is a very important part of a figurehead. In these photos you can follow how I shape the head, step by step.

The eyes look a little bit weird, but if you look at the figurehead Prudence that I have as a model, you will understand.

The tool I use is made by polymer clay, The book ”Creating Lifelike Figures in Polymer Clay” by Katherine Dewey gives you very good advice on how you can make your own tools.
